Ive been working out (boxing and pilates), as well as walking for 3 weeks. ive always had a very poor metabolism (or at least difficulty losing weight), but i havent lost even one pound. i am fine with slow progress, but not zero progress. my concern is that i might not be taking in enough calories for my size. im 56 and 291 pounds. ive been eating between 950-1100 calories a day. thanks for your help. nutrition concern?

Tips: Weight loss follows a simple equation. Calories in- calories out= weight change. Try increasing the amount of Cardio exercise that you are doing daily versus just weightlifting/pilates. There are websites online that can help you calculate what your heart rate should be for maximal fat burning. Also, try decreasing salt/crbs in your diet so that you are not retaining water/increasing lean protein

Nutrition: I believe you may have submitted a number of entries. If you weigh 291 pounds - 1,100 calories per day is likely too little. Please consider working with a nutritionist. Eating too little will decrease your metabolic and it can end up in self-sabotage.
