Usually: Both rhinoplasty and septoplasty usually require stitches but these are almost always absorbable and therefore usually do not require removal. Ask your surgeon for more specific information.

Yes: Both will require stitches. A septoplasty will have sutures which dissolve but all within the nose. Your rhinoplasty could have the same if performed in a closed fashion but if the nose is opened then you will have sutures over the columella.

Not Necessarily: Both rhinoplasty and septoplasty can be done in an "open" or "closed" approach. In a "closed" approach, all incisions are made inside the nose and all the stitches will all be inside the nose. You will not get a scar on the outside. If this is an important concern for you, make sure you have a consultation with a surgeon who has a lot of experience doing the "closed" approach.

Stitches : Yes. The vast majority of surgical rhinoplasty and septoplasty patients get sutures. However, the majority are absorbable. The only sutures requiring removal are when an external approach and/or base narrowing is performed.
