You : You may want to take about a week off work if you have both a rhinoplasty and septoplasty at the same time. It's best to have the rhinoplasty concurrently as it's very common to use the cartilage harvested during a septoplasty to do some of the rhinoplasty work.

If : If you wanted to have the nose fixed, definitely have it done together; one time anesthesia beats having it twice any time. Good luck from nyc. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.

No difference: My septoplasty, rhinoplasty, and septorhinoplasty patients all usually take 1 week off work and two weeks off of exercising or heavy lifting. You will usually get bruising under the eyes and external nasal swelling if you add the rhinoplasty, but time off work is unchanged. Also, doing both together allows the surgeon to use cartilage from the septum to reshape the nose.

Rhinoplasty: having a rhinoplasty is a big decision. Your nose is on your face and the changes will be seen by you daily. It takes at least a year to recover from rhinoplasty. Discuss these issues with your surgeon and be sure your surgeon is a board certified facial plastic surgeon with expertise in these procedures.
