How long do stitches stay in after a septoplasty? my surgeon said he will use dissolvable stitches. but he didn't tell me how long they would take to fall out.

In : In a standard septoplasty there is one set of dissolvable sutures used to close the incision. It's also common for a different type of dissolveable suture to be used to sew the skin lining that covers the septum back to itself (using a quilting type stitch). Depending on how much incision cleaning and saline rinsing you do after surgery it can take up to about a month for all of the sutures to come out. The majority of the sutures come out in the first week or two, though.
