That depends: Regular braces are attached to your teeth. They are harder to clean but you don't have to worry about losing them. Invisalign is removable. This makes cleaning your teeth easier, but if you lose them or forget to put them in they will not work. So which is better partially depends on the patient's personally. Also regular braces can correct some conditions that invisalign can not.

Braces vs Invisalign: If you want to have braces and having the actual clasps and wires on your teeth is not a cosmetic issue then go with regular braces. Invisalign and regular braces both work. However, invisalign is more costly and may take longer but it is for people who don't want to have braces attached on their teeth and want to straighten their teeth at the same time.

No contest: Well refereed study has shown in the hands of qualified orthodontic specialists braces achieve more than 90% of american board of orthodontics standards, invisalign about 41%. Additionally, general dentists are not orthodontists, don't have the additional 2000+ hours of specialty training, and only try to correct malocclusions on a part-time basis, so they don't do it as well as specialist.

All Depends: There is no correct answer. Traditional or fixed braces on the teeth have a much longer track record than removable clear aligners. There are indications where clear aligners work very effectively. There are conditions where I believe traditional fixed braces are more effective than clear aligners. Seek the opinion of an orthodontic specialist to see whats best for you.
