That Can Depend: The cost of conventional orthodontic treatment and treatment via Invisalign can vary depending on the person providing treatment, their qualifications as well as location. Be advised that not every person can be or should be treated with Invisalign.

Fees Vary: Your best bet is to get quotes from local dentists who can actually treat you, rather than generalizations over the internet. Only then can you make an educated decision.

Treatment cost: $1800 for 18 months braces is extremely inexpensive. I would question treatment at that price. First, make sure you are seeing a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist. Second, ask if you are a candidate for Invisalign. Third, ask the cost. The fee you were quoted is about half that charged by Dental Schools, which in turn is less expensive than quality private care.

Cost Plus?: That all depends on how much your orthodontist charges for clear aligner treatment. Remember, above and beyond the orthodontic treatment, your orthodontist has to pay the clear aligner company an "up front lab fee" that is fairly pricey. That is the reason Invisalign treatment normally costs much more than traditional braces.

Your Orthodontist: Will answer your questions including costs. Remember that aligner will take longer than fixed braces and require more cooperation from you.
