A member asked:

Dr i am 23 and triglycerides 245mg/dl .. what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lower trig and LDL.: That triglyceride count is certainly too high. Regular cardiovascular exercise, low saturated and trans fats in the diet. Avoid fried, deep fried and sauteed foods. When cooking, bake, broil or grill. High fiber - 50 grams daily in divided doses across smaller more frequent meals. Niacin and fish oil supplementation, 2000mg of each daily in divided doses.
