High TG: I know the labs have their ranges of normal and triglyceride levels can fluctuate a lot and exceed the lab’s normal. The panic number for triglycerides is usually 500 when it can irritate your pancreas which is not good. A very close look at your fat intake, reduce fried, high fat beef/pork and dairy and then recheck a fasting TG will usually bring it down. If not, you’ll need to visit with PCP.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, you can reduce triglycerides by losing weight. reducing intake of saturated fats and carbohydrates. Wish you good health!
