A member asked:

Could female firefighters not get breast implants due to the extreme heat that they are subjected to?

Great question!: There have been a few cases of tissue burns from women with silicone implants in very hot steam rooms. The heat conductive properties of silicone is different than the body. Theoretically, yes, one can sustain heat damage, but it is very unlikely, historically speaking.

Not Likely.: I have not heard of this being a problem for female firefighters.

Firefighters are hot: I've successfully placed breast implants in police and firefighting women. There is not an issue with extreme heat and damage to the implant. A general rule is that it doesn't affect your skin and breast tissue it is unlikely to affect your implants.
