Yes after evaluation: Yes you may get implants in the presence of cysts or benign masses. A thorough evaluation including mammograms, ultrasound or MRI may be indicated with possible biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. On occasion a mammogram may be advised within 6 months if there is a higher index of suspicion. It may be preferred to place the implant via an inframammary fold approach to minimize tissue disruption.

Yes.: Patients with benign lesions of the breasts are able to undergo breast augmentation surgery safely. Keep in mind, that if the lesion is currently palpable, it may become even more so when the breast tissue is “pushed” forward by the breast implants.
