Lots of choices.: While you may be tempted to focus on a high protein diet, the well balanced diet of vegetables (dark green,) colorful fruits and vegetables (yellow, red and purple) and protein (nuts and legumes) are all great for the work out lifestyle.  If you find yourself losing weight (checking weekly,) then add more nuts and perhaps avocado.  They have healthy energy fats.

Know your limits: Any exercise program performed in the correct way by an appropriate candidate is "good." however, not all of us are appropriate for some of these high intensity programs like insanity and p90x. My advice would be to know your limits and pace yourself.  Swallow your pride and modify the program if needed. I have seen numerous overuse injuries that prevented people from completing these programs.

Yes: I'm assuming you mean the infomercial program.  I have done it and it works.  It is very intense.  Not for beginners.  If you are a beginner and want to try, i suggest doing small pieces of the workouts.  Warm up and stretch.  Maybe one series.  Get used to it first.  

Must do the diet with it.

Follow the diet: Insanity comes with its own diet program.  It is loaded with lean meats and vegetables.  And, because of these workouts and the intensity of the training, you'll need better fuel for your body.

Possibly any: There are no particular ages to start healthy exercise, as it is always good to incorporate in life.  However, the insanity workout is extremely high intensity, and for this reason, particularly if you are not already in top shape, it would be good to have a checkup and make sure that your body is able to handle that level of intensity.

I looked at the : hype online. It seems questionable to me. A 60 day program seems too short and may lead to rapid weight loss that may come back just as quickly. I would have a physical before doing any extreme workout program.  I would recommend starting exercising gradually and increasing it over time. Find exercises that you enjoy and can continue for life not for just 60 days.

During?: A preworkout meal and post-workout meal are recommended, but during, stick to water or the recovery drink.

As you are able: When you can! it is a tough workout, and unless you are already super-fit, fit it into your daily schedule as convenient. Habitual exercise - 'sticking with it' is the tough part. Post an update... I'm interested.
