Pain w Sincalide: Common side effect of sincalide is that it stimulates intestinal motility which can cause cramping abdominal pain if infused too rapidly. Symptoms are not usually seen with 60 min infusion. You may have received sincalide in a shorter period of infusion. The determination of chronic gallbladder disease is based on the ejection fraction (ef). Ef > 35-38 is normal.

Not necessarily: There are different types of "reaction". Although very rare, it is possible to have an allergic reaction to one of the medicines used during the study..This reaction would have nothing to do with the gallbladder. If a medication is given in attempt to cause your gallbladder to squeeze down...And it is given to fast..It can cause spasm/pain...(as a normal reaction). So..No.

Depends on sxs: Two medications involved in test. Isotope tc99m hida is injected for first part of test, cck is hormone for contraction of gb. Some people get abdominal pain, others nausea as symptoms of gb disease. if reaction is allergic usually involves hives or respiratory problems.
