Is hida scan useless? i have gallbladder symptoms. hida ef 11%, ct and us normal. surgeon will remove gallbladder though not encouraging that it will help symptoms, despite hida result. does hida result mean anything at all? thanks?

Your surgeon is being very honest mentioning that surgery may not help symptoms as they can be caused by many other problems depending on your exact symptoms. Ask how many times he is certain that it is GB does it not help.
