Not sure.: Although it is tempting to want to make a connection between pain at the time of a HIDA scan and gallbladder disease, there is no certain correlation there. You really need to wait for the results of the scan. if your pain remains severe in the meantime, contact your doctor. Good luck.

Possibly: It is definitely a pretty good sign for gallbladder disease. If the HIDA scan was negative, but all your other symptoms match gallbladder disease, some surgeons (but definitely not all) would consider removing your gall bladder. This really is a risk-benefit analysis that you will need to have with your own doctor.
