Ortho methods: Conventional vs invisalign? They both have a place in straightening teeth. It depends upon the extent and type of the malocclusion and the preference of the dentist. Most orthodontists prefer the conventional method as they have more control. Some general dentists with training offer invisalign. I have seen both good and bad results with both methods. The key here is finding the right dentist!

Choices?: Invisalign is more expensive, slower and less effective .... But looks better! your choice if you are a candidate for invisalign.

Seek a consult: Depending upon your particular situation, either braces or invisalign will make more sense for treatment. Both do a good job when applied appropriately. You and your orthodontist will discuss your options and one will make better sense than the other. Good luck and enjoy your new smile!

Malocclusion: Malocclusions (bad bite) are like snowflakes, no two are alike. There are many different medicines (appliances) to treat malocclusions. Traditional braces are still the gold standard. See a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist (exam usually free) to recommend the best treatment for your individual problem. Tufts Dental & Harvard Dental also have excellent Orthodontic Departments.
