Criteria: Nhs has little or no orthodontic coverage. Doesn't matter what you tell the orthodontist, govt. Insurance will probably not pay for rx, especially for adults. Ask your orthodontist about payment plans available to you, but understand that this is a bill that is usually not government funded.

Schedule an exam: You should schedule an exam and discuss your options with a trained orthodontist. If you have bite issues or aesthetic concerns he/she will give you your best options and advise if braces or invisalign will help. Good luck.

Honesty: Really your words will not make a difference. They are going to base their determination off of your exam and x-rays.

To get braces: Hi, visit an orthodontist and describe what you want changed about your teeth. Orthodontist will guide you into the right type of braces to properly move the teeth to function properly & give you the most esthetic smile possible. Be sure that you make an appointment with a graduate orthodontist, not a dentist that dabbles in orthodontics. The business card should say orthodontist.
