Talon cusp: there's no reason why a tooth with a talon cusp can't be moved. What your Orthodontist may be saying is that as the tooth is anomalously shaped, it may need to be restored to fully close any space. If a tooth is to narrow, and all space is closed, the back teeth won't fit properly. You may want to consult with a Prosthodontist, an Endodontist, and another Orthodontist before making up your mind.
