A member asked:

Hi doctors. can you take desmopressin or a similar medication for frequent urination at night (prostate not enlarged) if you are already taking losartan hctz diuretic, or is it counterproductive and defeats the purpose of taking the losartan hctz?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Looks like you have asked the same question in several ways. Losartan HCTZ will cause frequency and diuresis at a time depending on when taken. If in am then there will be daytime frequency waning in PM. If later in the day then it can cause night time frequency. So night time frequency it should be taken in am and desmopressin at night- and they will work well as intended
