Good morning doctors. my doctor prescribed 100 mg losartan hctz. i read on the healthtap website that there are issues with sunlight exposure with this medication. i am going on a caribbean cruise--is it safe to be outside while on this medication?

It has to with with hydrochlorothiazide listed among the most common drugs to cause photosensitivity or sensitizing skin to sun exposure. Have not seen it in practice, common with specific antibiotics, safe to get out, use hat and avoid full sun exposure.
