Very good morning doctors. i was told losartan hctz can raise both serum creatinine & bun and lower egfr. i take losartan hctz and it seems to work great. how do i resolve this if i need a water pill diuretic to help control blood pressure?

All meds can have side-effects. Not everyone gets them. Your doc will monitor your labs and decide if any changes/modifications are needed

You are taking a diuretic, HCTZ, which is hydrochlorothiazide and that’s why you got the warning. Your current prescriber remains your best resource.
