Risk factors for OSA: The epworth sleepiness survey (google it!) will help one determine if they should be tested for apnea or just plain snoring. If there is reported loud snoring, gasping during sleep and high blood pressure, or other indicators such as: male body mass index >25, neck size > 17 inches, (both slightly lower for women). Talk to your dentist--a dental splint will work for both snoring and apnea!

Sleep Study: You should get a sleep study done either at a sleep study center(best) or have your doctor order at home sleep study (as long as it has some form of positional monitoring) to get an accurate diagnosis first. If no sleep apnea your dentist can fabricate a variety of oral devices that can help with your snoring.
