A couple of things: First try simple stuff like have him sleep on his side. Also avoid excess alcohol before bed, consider weight loss, and you might want to get a sleep study to dertermine if he has sleep apnea. It is a more serious problem.

Simple things 1St: Have lose weight, avoid alcohol at night, and sleep on his side. If this doesn't work he can try theravent. It's a new otc sticker valve he can wear over his nose that can help. If that doesn't help, see an ENT doctor.
