My recent studies shows a slightly heterogeneous myometrium without discrete fibroids, unremarkable appearance to the endometrium. i have constant dull pelvic pain, heaviness, & heavy periods that last 14 days. what could this be?

Heterogenous myometrium with thickening of the uterine wall could be adenomyosis. this would explain your dull pelvic pain, heaviness and heavy periods. Follow up with your Gyn Dr to determine next steps which could include hormones.

Had ultrasound to check on a fibroid. I just finished a period, but it was found that my endometrium looked thick. Dr. now wants me to come back for a saline ultrasound. But having no pain,heavy bleeding, etc. Age 44. Regular periods. Is it necessary?
