: The initial ultrasound having shown a "thickened endometrium" , depending on the actual dimensions of the "thickening", should be sufficient to determine whether a biopsy is indicated. If the endometrium is less than one centimeter, with the history included in the question, a second ultrasound is usually not necessary.
