My temples are swollen and puffy and they get sharp stabing pains in them i have had blood test for inflammation markers they came back negative im 23 year old so my doctor ruled temporal arteritis what else could it be?

Would suggest a visit to your usual dentist and have evaluation for Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction, but also assess your dental health. Find it confusing that at age 23 temporal arteritis was considered, as this is a disorder of much older folks.
