My adult son has strep & is allergic to penicillen. he was on a z-pack for 4 days & still had white patches and a horrible sore throat. they just prescribed clindimyacin. the dr said he's not contagious even though the zpack didnt work. is this true?

If strep A is truly resistant to azithromycin, your son can still transmit the bacteria after 4 days of taking this antibiotic. I hope he is doing better with clindamycin.

Im abroad seeing family, I have a sore throat no other symptoms. If I have strep throat what can I tell them I can/cant take? I am allergic to augmentin, sulfa, doxy, Bactrim, and maybe penicillin. I think Ive taken zpack before but not sure?

I was prescribed Z-Pak for strep throat as I am allergic to penicillin. I finished my medication today. I also take 40 mg of escitalopram for anxiety. I took escitalopram 4-6 hours after I took my antibiotic. Should I be concerned? I ended treatment?
