My adult son has strep & is allergic to penicillen. he was on a z-pack for 4 days & still had white patches and a horrible sore throat. they just prescribed clindimyacin. the dr said he's not contagious even though the zpack didnt work. is this true?

If strep A is truly resistant to azithromycin, your son can still transmit the bacteria after 4 days of taking this antibiotic. I hope he is doing better with clindamycin.
