Sounds Viral: White patches on tonsills are often a sign of bacterial infection HOWEVER they can occur with viral infections and they can simply be CHRONIC ! Infectious Mono is also a possibility.A simple blood test ( White Count, Heterophile antibodies) may be helpful!
