My daughter is a virgin and may have a ovarian cyst. can a abdominal ultrasound show it? shes a virgin, shes trying to avoid transvaginal u/s. doc agreed that she can do a abdominal u/s. my daughter had normal pap year ago?

Transvaginal ultrasound will usually provide a more clear picture of the ovaries, but since her doctor is agreeable then she can at least start with an abdominal ultrasound. If her doctor then feels it is not adequate then the two of them can discuss what is a reasonable approach going forward.
