Er doctor says i have a right ureter: obstructing calculus in the proximal right ureter measuring 3 cm-4 cm. i have had tons of pain 2 days ago, but it has eased up, but not passed yet. what should i expect next? i am waiting to hear from urologist?

Are you sure the stone is 3-4 cm in size? A stone of that size will not pass so urologist has to take it out as soon as possible because the risk of back up urine to the right kidney (hydronephrosis) is very high. If you misheard and stone is only 3-4 mm, you will eventually pass it out. Pain eases up most of the time after several hours but it does not mean much about the progress.

I think the dimensions you mention seem to be wrong. It is probably 3-f mm instead of cm. for that size stone in the ureter is extremely unlikely. You should drink a lot of water and take advil and wait for the doc to advise further. 3-4 mmsize stones have a great chance to pass without intervention. Good luck
