I have a 10mm stone in my left ureter and three smaller stones in the left kidney. the doctor says eswl is not an option to remove the stones; only ureteroscopy can remove them. can a urologist here please tell me why my doctor said that? thank you?

Your doctor knows you and your condition and what is best in China. We do not. Small stones are harder to focus in on and break up with ESWL. There are also complications from ESWL and perhaps you are at high risk for these. Also some stones don’t break easily. I do not know what kind of stone you have either. Discuss again with Dr.
