Ive been diagnosed with likely 7cm subserosal uterine fibroid with fatty degeneration on imaging, not overweight, pre menopausal, what causes this fatty degeneration and is there malignancy risk?

The fibroid degenerates when it is too big for the blood supply and fatty degeneration does not carry risk of malignancy.

Changes taking place in a fibroid like fatty degeneration are unpredictable and not known. The malignancy risk is very very small and cant be predicted
