A member asked:

Lipoleiomyoma, is this the same as fat degeneration in fibroid? incidentally found on ct/ f/u uss, not felt to be dermoid on ct,7cm, cause for concern?? posterior to uterus, asymptomatic, 39 years old?

"lipoleiomyoma" is a term which refers to "fatty degeneration" of a "fibroid" tumor of the uterus. It is not clear if the CT reading "not felt to be a dermoid" refers to the degenerating fibroid or to an ovarian mass "posterior to the uterus". Ask your GYN physician for clarification.
