A member asked:

Incidental 7cm likely fibroid behind uterus with fatty degeneration picked up on scan asymptomatic, should it be removed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Since a 7cm cm lesion "behind uterus with fatty degeneration" is not likely to be fibroid, it would be best to consult a credentialed sonographer/ gyn oncologist to rule out the probability of a "7 cm dermoid" (an ovarian benign cystic teratoma) and the possibility of some other ovarian tumor. Once an accurate diagnosis is made, plan of management and treatment option can be discussed with you.
