A member asked:

If a psa is too high and an mri and prostate biopsies are performed using the perineal method but all the results are negative and yet the psa continues to climb (up to 9) then could a pet/ct scan be worthwhile?

A urologist should be consulted for a "rising PSA", and needle biopsies of the prostate considered.

CT.PET are OK but MRI is a good test and if the biopsies were negative then a repeat biopsy in six months is recommended.
