No: You would not want to be treated for prostate cancer unless there was conclusive tissue confirmation of the diagnosis. This is only obtained by a biopsy. All other tests whether they be a blood test, an x-ray or MRI study or other technology can be helpful in staging and evaluating the prostate. But a biopsy is crucial in the process.
