Neutrophils can become somewhat depleted fighting an infection and takes a while for the bone marrow to return to normal function. This post infectious reduction may last weeks. I'm sure your repeat white cell differential counts will return to baseline in the near future.

Your neutrophil count is borderline normal as many labs consider 1.5 as the lower limit for a normal count. Around infections there are wide variations in white blood cell counts and repeat counts in dynamics should help in clarifying if the relative drop was in the context of recovering from acute infection.
