45 yo f. could having pneumonia once when i was a child (8/9 yo) have caused 2 separate foci of pleural thickening right lower lobe seen on ct i just had done in feb? i also had mild covid this past nov. pcp is not concerned at this time?

Anything is possible-there is really no way to say for sure the etiology of the pleural thickening. It certainly could be related to a prior infection-either pneumonia or Covid. It could also be due to an exposure of some type, like asbestos, for example. If the areas involved are small and you have no symptoms then following them over time to be sure these areas don’t get bigger would be prudent

The pneumonia experienced 3+ decades ago is not responsible for the issue on a current x-ray. The wording and response of the doc is not worrisome.
