The mechanism causing heart damage during covid 19 is thought to me caused by an overzealous immune response. This cytokine storm can ramp the immune system up so high that it starts attacking normal tissues. Since the highest peak of immune response comes between days 7 and 14, the damage can occur during or after that. If you are feeling arrhythmias or chest pain, see a DR.

MIS C may occur during the weeks following the symptoms of COVID-19. The mechanism of the injury continues to be investigated, and inflammation markers are elevated. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure.
