Do i have a heart issue? i may have had covid early last month; omicron to be specific. i have since recovered but one day, out of the blue, my heart rate went from 70 to 97 for no reason. i was sweating and my hands shook. it happened twice?

That change in heart rate, if confirmed, along with diaphoresis (sweating) are significant. You should see your doctor and if possible a cardiologist. However, the cardiac involvement (myocarditis) in Coid-19 infection is usually self-limited so you should not worry much in the mean time.

Post COVID complications include pneumonia, cardiac conditions and neurologic findings. Please discuss further testing including an EKG, chest x ray and keep well hydrated. Avoid sugary drinks and snacks. This episode may be due to caffeine intake as well.
