24 yr old had a bug bite in the hip 6 wks ago . developed an enlarged lump node in the groin . ultrasound showed 1.1 ~0.8~0.4 cm node benign appearing lymph node . its still there . should she do biopsy or repeat ultrasound in 3 months ?

You may watch and wait.You may feel the node every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!

The node is small, likely a reactive lymph node. I will wait unless it gets bigger by time. There is no need for repeated US if it shrinks away 3 months later.
