Inform gi: Your gastroenterologist who performed colonoscopy should be aware and depending on circumstances, such as polyp removed or not, how long ago, etc, he or she should be able to provide recommendations in the right context.

Rectal blood: If colonoscopy doesn't otherwise explain presence of some bright red rectal blood, is there any evidence of hemorrhoids or fissure? In my experience,proctologists are more helpful than gastroenterologists in diagnosing and treating these conditions.
