Auntie had blood in stools and dirrehea which resulted in colonoscopy . clear result . showed only piles . auntie has started bleeding again ( very small amounts red blood ) and dirrehea and cramps 3.5 years later would colonoscopy need repeated?

Auntie may have piles again, but best to consult with a gastroenterologist. Better to be safe than sorry.

If she were my patient, in view of her prior colonoscopy & its findings, I'd set her up for only a flexible sigmoidoscopy which is simply limited to the rectum and lower colon and requires a much less arduous prep.
