Postop constipation: Postoperative constipation is commonly triggered by narcotic pain medication. Since you are also seeing blood this should be evaluated. Rectal bleeding can never assumed to be normal. Constipation induced hemorrhoidal bleeding is the most likely explanation but this must be evaluated. See your surgeon as a first option.
