Yes: Patients with TMJ disorder will often have different types of problems that can be very mild to very serious. Often if you are getting braces or invisalign, your doctor will have mad an assessment to determine if you have any problems related to your jaw joints that may need further investigation before starting your orthodontic treatment. This could be additional xray studies and referrals.

Often yes: the orthodontist can do a TMJ examination with you to discuss and determine joint pain. treatment, however, is a challenge as despite whatever you here, no one is 100% sure of the causes of, or guaranteed solutions for TMJ-- while some treatments have been found to work for some people, no doctor can promise they will fix your pain

Absolutely: At the time of your diagnostic evaluation report all of your joint symptoms to your Orthodontist. The Orthodontist will then be able to help you resolve your joint dysfunction.
