Orthodontist: It does take time to move teeth. Your orthodontist has seen and evaluated your teeth and jaw and knows your condition. You want to have great looking teeth when you are finished. Follow all the instructions that your orthodontist gives you so your case progresses.

Compliance: Keep your teeth and gums super clean and healthy. Wear rubber band religiously when instructed to do so. Note to doctor you are willing to endure more discomfort and pain if they can be more aggressive in tooth movement. That's about it.

Instructions: Follow Orthodontist's instructions to the letter. Brush 2 full minutes 2x/day. floss or Water Pik daily, don't damage your braces, wear elastics 24/7. The better you follow instructions the sooner the braces come off. Additionally, there are surgical procedures available, (corticotomies), where the bone around the teeth is altered, that can shave some time off hyour Orthodontic treatment.
