I went to the er today for stomach pain nausea and vomiting. this is the 4th time since january. i have crohns disease so they thought it was a flare up until today they did a ct scan and found 6.8cm cyst behind my uterus. should i worry?

Of concern: You should be evaluated because of your symptoms and the presence of the cyst. I recommend a rectopelvic examination by your physician or gynecologist who would also confer with the radiologist to determine whether further imaging studies are advisable or whether referral to a general surgeon as well as your gastroenterologist is also recommended for their opinion.

6.8 cm ovarian cyst?: If an ovarian cyst is suspected, it would be best to seek a consultation from a Gyn oncologist and obtain a pelvic sonogram from a certified sonographer who can confirm the diagnosis, determine the sonographic characteristics of the contents of the cyst (clear fluid vs. mixed material)the thickness of its wall, the presence or absence of separations or excrescences, its vascularity...then plan.
