A member asked:

My son had tonsillitis few weeks ago but now he noticed one is bigger than the other one he may have them like that before but we never noticed right now he doesnt have any pain or problems ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asymmetric tonsils: Asymmetry in tonsils can occur without clinical importance but rarely can be a result of neoplastic process. The difference in size should be evaluated and perhaps followed for a period of time by a specialist. Sometimes a biopsy may be obtained. A changing asymmetry should not be ignored.
