See urologist: It is above “normal lab value” but PSA levels rise as a man ages and at your age a normal level may be 5.5 or higher. Also depends on prior psa levels to see if there is significant psa acceleration . I recommend seeing a urologist for evaluation .

Depends: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your PSA level may not be a cause for concern if you have benign prostatic enlargement. Wish you good health!
