I had epididymitis in left testicle 2 weeks ago, a follow up now shows a level 8 on psa urine test, 50 yr. old, is this common.

Here are some ...: Epidiymitis at 50 is more likely related with UTI, which, in turn, is usually related with bladder outlet obstruction. Then PSA elevation may be UTI/protattitis-related; usually, a detailed Hx + urinalysis with/without urine culture + reviewing serial PSA in the past will generate a reliable Dx. If not with/without abnormal digital rectal exam on prostate, prostate US / Bx is advised. Ask Doc...
