Urination: I recommend taking your flomax with a small amount of water on the day of surgery. Make sure you empty your bladder just before anesthesia and surgery. Also try to avoid opioid pain relievers, sedatives, decongestants and antihistamines postop. Get up and move around as early as possible. Don't wait too long to urinate if you get the urge. Don't let your bladder get distended.
